Most Amazing Jewelry Giveaway by Poet Summer, Carrie

Tonight after 4 days of holding 2 feverish, sick children and no more than 12 hours of sleep within that time, I sat down to do some laptop, screen shopping. You know, where you surf and look at all the things you wish you could buy yourself.

While searching out some sites I fell upon Etsy (one of my favorite haunts) and searched out the word "Twilight". While there I feel upon Poet Summer.

As I looked around I was amazed at the craftsmanship, the names of the pieces, the artistic vision but most of all I noticed how each unique piece of jewelry told a story.

This artist, was someone I had to reach out to. I had to find out who she was and where she gets her vision from.

I contacted her and we started some back and forth messages. I included my phone number and she called me! Her name is Carrie and she is a fun, unique, creative, artsy, interesting women who did what most women only dream of doing. She left the corporate world to create a whole new life and existence for herself doing something she enjoys.

Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s and tends to synthesize modern styles as filtered through the Victorian era. I love the Victorian era.

In mathematics, chaos theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems – that is, systems whose states evolve with time – that may exhibit dynamics that are highly sensitive to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect).

This piece represents for me where I am right now. When a women comes into her 40's she finally realizes her true worth. She is tired of excepting crumbs in her life and wants more than she is currently getting. For me, this is a metamorphosis that is happening internally. I spent too much time in a cocoon as a shy, quiet, Caterpillar. Its finally time to spread my wings, and really reach for everything life has to offer. I am on a personal, spiritual, and emotional quest for inner strength and growth. That is what this piece says to me.
