Game Review - Trivia Pursuit for Wii

Trivia Pursuit is one of those games that can either make you feel really smart or really dumb. When I play with my husband and our friends S & S I feel like a complete idiot. When I play with anyone else, I feel somewhat good about myself.

EA Games is my favorite game company due to my huge obsession with The Sims, more than a couple of years ago.

Bringing Trivia Pursuit to the electronic, game age was necessary since we are all playing on home consoles. It makes total marketing sense to bring it to Wii.

There are three modes you can play:

  • The classic pie wedge style for us old schoolers
  • Facts and Friends where there is one pie wedge for each category. You can even steal pie wedges from your friends.
  • And my personal favorite called Clear the Board. I like playing Trivia Pursuit alone after years of feeling inadequate. There is no one besides me that can do a victory lap. Hooray!!
The plus side to the electronic version rather than the board version is that with each question there are multiple choice answers. I would like to say that I have gotten smarter, but I think it is more likely that I do better on multiple choice.

The only thing missing from this game is that I can't play my friends unless they are in my house. Playing remote gamers, is for me, the biggest plus side of playing high tech rather than the classic board game.

In A Nutshell: I LOVE IT!!!! This is a great addition to your Wii Game collection. The virtual game pieces floating around are fun. The questions, although they are the classic 6 categories, use photos, multiple choice and interactive maps which really add to the appeal of electronic gaming. Buy it, you'll love it!
