Should Preschool Applications Be As Long As Ivy League College Applications?

Preschool amounts in New York can run as high as $20,000 a year. Are these kids getting a better education than the preschool that charges $1,200 a year?

Set in New York City, Nursery University is a feature film that documents a phenomenon cropping up in communities across the United States-the oddly competitive, yet often humorous, world of nursery school admissions.

The film examines the stories of five families, from varying socio-economic backgrounds, attempting to place their toddlers in prestigious Manhattan preschools, which, due to high-demand, have limited enrollment and high price tags.

Nursery University follows the families’ journeys while also offering a behind-the-scenes look at the experts who advise them and the school directors who struggle to determine which “applicants” to allow through their doors.

Cue the tears, hysterics and breakdowns -- and that’s just the parents! Enjoy the insanity in this sweeter look at the social issues, and the little darlings at the center of all the fuss.
