Camera Critters - The Hungry Caterpillar

This is a sphinx moth caterpillar that our guide spotted during our butterfly walk. Our 89 year old guide was amazing and very passionate about caterpillars, butterflies and the plants and habitat that they live in.

  1. What a striking caterpillar - shame about the damage, though.

I've never seen a caterpillar so close! They are neat looking.

    Sorry about your plant though!

  5. Jabbog, Thanks for the comment. The caterpillar was awesome.

Eileeninmd, very fat little fella. All the kids got to touch him. They were so excited.

Vicki, The plant is the food for him. He wouldn't be so big and beautiful without eating so we were happy he had a good meal.

Trish, It will be a moth but pretty nonetheless.
