My First Simple Woman's Daybook for 2010

FOR TODAY... January 4, 2010

Outside my window... cold and gray with the sun going down over the majestic mountains of my home town.

I am thinking... about my son's report card which I got today and how I am going to help him focus at school when I am not there.

I am thankful for... the two weeks I spent with my kids. I was sick but they were awesome and pretty much took it easy on me.

I am wearing... Jeans and a warm cream shirt with a print on the front.

I am remembering...how awesome my girlfriends are. I have some pretty rad friends.

I am going... to close up this computer and start dinner.

I am currently reading... Count Your Blessings a Chicken Soup for the Soul book

I am hoping... my husband returns home soon. I live for the moments when we are all under the same roof.

On my mind...What is next on my reading agenda?  Decisions, decisions.

Noticing that... it is getting dark already.

Pondering these words... "I feel that Handsome is consumed "to" (and she is teaching my son?) much with his classmates actions and work." written by Handsome's teacher on his progress report.

From the kitchen...grilled chicken made on our new George Foreman Colors Grill

Around the house...Time to put these Christmas decorations away.

One of my favorite things - my daughter telling me 20 times a day that she loves me.

From my picture journal...

This is not real snow but I felt the face went well with a computerized snow fall.

  3. My daughter said, "What's she doing? Tasting snow?" and burst out laughing :)She's three so, you know, it doesn't take much to really crack her up!

Doesn't it make you want to correct the teacher's grammar with a red pen and send it back to her??? Okay, that would probably not help your son but it's a good fantasy....

  4. Fredamans, Thank you! She is so fun.

Clary, I know it. That baby girl is a natural and very expressive.

    Bloomerbear, Awww...thanks...I couldn't agree more.

Renee, Hahahaha...too funny. Goddess was like, I was inside. Why is it snowing on me? I had to show her how I put the snow in the picture.

Hopefully today the teacher and I can have a much needed conversation.

  5. I'm glad you enjoyed your time with your children even if you were sick and your wonderful friends were there to help you out!
I, too love when my family is all under one roof, but in my case, it has been WAY too long.
I can't believe that your son's teacher has a spelling error on the progress report! I sure do hope you can get your time with her SOON!
    Have a great week.
