There is so much I love about this Gund plush.
First my class is all about the Baby Shark song. If we were to put it on 25 times in the first hour, they would still get up to dance the 26th time we put it on. It is amazing that this song has been so popular with kids.
My class loved this shark with the tiny fish. The color is so beautiful. They all love to pinch the shark to open it's mouth and put the little fish inside it and to take it out.
This pinching fish is perfect for fine motor skills. It does take a little bit for toddlers to open and close the fish mouth which is exactly what I want for my preschool age group. This grasping action is so good for little hands. They will be able to hold their crayon and eventually pencil better with stronger fingers.
Since we are working on the Letter O this week, we are doing open and close with the shark. It takes a little time and out of 10 kids 6 of them can open and close the shark. My class is age 2-3 and hand strength is something I focus on with many of my activities.
What I love most about this shark is the holographic scales on the animals. I love anything shiny and these fish are truly pretty and shiny.
