Easter Basket Giveaway #peppapig #nickjr #dvdgiveaway

HOP, POP and JUMP into Easter with kaboom! Entertainment!

JUMP: Tomorrow on March 10th Peppa Pig, the lovable little piggy, is back and up to her usual activities in her newest release Peppa Pig: Muddy Puddles. This new DVD is filled with 10 fantastic “peppisodes” that include all the kindness, laughter, fun and gentle life lessons that make Peppa Pig one of the world’s most beloved preschool friends. So spring forward and follow along with Peppa Pig, her brother George, Mummy, Daddy and their animal friends – Suzy Sheep, Pedro Pony and Danny Dog – as they play, learn and jump in muddy puddles!

Peppa Pig: Muddy Puddles will also be offered in a limited edition DVD + Ty Beanie Gift Set – also launching on March 10th – at Walmart, Sam’s Club and Toys “R”

The 411:

My kids never watched Peppa Pig which is a Nick Jr., show and to be honest reviewing Peppa Pig was the first time I ever heard of her. I wish we had watched because she and her brother George are so cute.

In Muddy Puddles Peppa and her brother George get to go out and play in the mud. They are pigs after all.  They look all kids have lots of fun and thankfully to loving parents get a quick bath and all is well.

In Mr. Dinosaur is Lost George loses his favorite toy Mr. Dinosaur. Thankfully his loving sister becomes a sister and helps him find his beloved toy. I loved this episode. What a sweet sibling. Daddy helps out and gives credit to Peppa. Wish my kids were more like this.

Polly Parrot is Grandmas bird and really cracks up Peppa and George. They spend most of the episode laughing. Polly maybe a noisy parrot but the family is pretty loud when they all laugh too.

Best Friend has Peppa friend Suzie the sheep over. Poor George gets jealous but mommy has a way of making her boy happy.  I loved this episode and how the girls allowed George to play with them as their patient.

In  Hide and Seek Peppa and George play hide and seek but George isn't challenging enough and Peppa finds him too easily until Daddy Pig helps him out.

The Playgroup has George and Peppa going to a Playgroup with a lot of other kids. Peppa isn't sure that George is old enough to go to her playgroup.  Well George does just fine and Peppa is happy to have her baby brother with her.

Mummy Pig at Work has Daddy cooking and Mom trying to get some work done.  The kids really want to spend time with her and she lovely tries to get work done with the kids on her. Sweet mommy. Who hasn't been there!? Well, Peppa accidentally breaks the computer and Daddy comes to the rescue.

Finally Camping has the family sleeping under the stars.

What is great about Peppa Pig is how sweet the family is together. I love the relationship between Peppa and George and how the family falls to the ground laughing.

POP: Also  Zack & Quack are coming to the U.S. for the 1st time on DVD in the release Zack & Quack: Popping Hopping Easter. This series follows the adventures of a dynamic boy named Zack & his best friend, an impulsive young duck, called Quack. They live inside the most amazing pop-up book ever! It's a place full of fantastical surprises – where pulling pop-ups makes exciting and unexpected things happen. New worlds and fantastic voyages quite literally unfold before your eyes in this five episode DVD.

The 411:

I have never heard of Zack and Quack which will air on Nick Jr next month. Zack and his duck buddy Quack are waddingly adorable. I love the animation and how very colorful they are. Zack and his friends live in a pop up book world. Very cool!
The five episodes include:

  • Zack and Quack's Pop-Up Circus
  • The Poppy-Up Flower
  • Popping Hopping Hiccups
  • The Poparang 3000
  • The Pop-Up Easter Egg Hunt

In Pop up Circus Zack is looking for animals he can tame.  I love the dinosaur

The Poppy-Up Flower Zack and his friends head out in a plane. Saves his friend Fluffy. Drives a boat.  Hangs with Kira and hangs in the garden and Hangs with a purple gorilla.

Popping Hopping Hiccups has Zack and the gang trying to help Belly Up get rid of his hiccups.

The Poperang 3000 could a boomerang really replace your best friend? I doubt it. Poor Quack.

In the Pop Up Easter Egg Hunt Zack and his friends head out for a picnic.
I love the color and all the hard edges on the animation. Very different. I love the flipping of the book. Pop Up books were my favorite when I was a kid and they are also my kids. The characters pull the pop ups in the books to make certain things happen in the story. I love all the little characters, Fluffy, Kira, Belly-Up, Hop and Skip. This is a great show with the story literally unfolding before your eyes.

If you are looking for movies to add to your Easter Basket this year these two are great additions along with a classic Guess How Much I Love You - The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare - Someone Special. My review here.

Disclaimer: I received complimentary DVDs for my honest opinion. No monetary compensation was offered.
