Nude face that is!!! Zero amount of makeup, cover-up or editing. Today was a lazy day at home. I made beds, breakfast, cleaned up the kitchen and the bathroom, took a shower and then read, watched TV and played with the kids. I only wear eye makeup but today I wanted to give my eyes a rest. I had my glasses on until my husband told me he was coming home. I refuse to make him look at me in glasses longer than he has to (in the evening). My glasses are over 12 years old and horrible looking. Please tell me you weren't hoping to catch a glimpse of me in the raw.
Last week on Thursday, I stared a meme called Memory Rewind and then failed to get it up this week. This is mostly because the kids were only in school 3 days this week and the days off totally threw me off.
Anyway, if you guys want to link up your Memory Rewinds, please feel free to do so.
Here are my boys March 2, 2004. Handsome was 10 months old and the cutest, happiest, most round baby we had ever seen. We adored him and life was so quiet and easy. This was before the Goddess made her appearance and our world was turned upside down with noise and drama (girls).
Here are my boys quietly playing floor basketball. Handsome was a very easy baby.
Memory Rewind,meme,
Is there really anything better than a man holding a baby? I love seeing men and babies. So cute. Look at those chubby hands and blondish hair.
Hey everyone, most of you know I sell my jewelry over at Street Angel on Etsy.
I have some glass tiles left over from the two jewelry parties I had over the winter. They sold at the parties for $8.00 for just a tile and $10.00 with a chain. There are just a few left and I wanted to clear out the stock on this theme (Twilight, New Moon and Vamps). If you see something you are interested in, please contact me directly (ree026@optonline.net) and I will work it out through either a check or through PayPal on Etsy.

I took 2.5 months off from making anything new but I am excited to start again when my wrist starts feeling better.
As the mother of a very intelligent, inquisitive, inspiring, soon to be 5 year old girl; I want her to know that she doesn't have to wait for the prince to come and be her everything. That she can and should do what she enjoys. I also want her to know that girls can do anything boys do. Want to play baseball, play it. You want to wear pants, wear them! You want to explore, climb it!
I Love the combination of real girls and the animated narrator! In my opinion, GIRLS will love this show. Girls learn Science differently than boys, this is the perfect show to get them excited about Science.
As I told you, I am now a General Hospital Ambassador through Mom Central.
Here are some of my thoughts on the show so far:
Wait Nicholas wants to be a hands on dad? Have we seen his son at all since he was a newborn? When we do see him, it will probably be around the time that Liz's baby is born and Nick introduces his "new" baby to his now aged by 10 years child.
Oh no, I am shocked...(not) is that Helena lurking in the corner watching her obvious employee grabbing the parternity papers from Epiphany.
Why does Sonny think it is OK for him to continue using the excuse "I didn't know he was my son" as the reason he should be forgiven that he shot Dante?
I am tired of hearing him blame everyone else for the fact that Dante was shot! "It is because of people like you who kept my son from me!" Blah blah blah!
Sup with Christina getting jealous over Ethan and the secretary? Did she really think she stood a chance? Unbuttoning her shirt to try to get his attention is just sick and makes me worried about the message it send to teenagers. Christina is just a mess; between her abusive boyfriend and the unbuttoning of her shirt I worry that maybe Alexis trying to shelter her from her mob father was in vain.
And...what was this?
“I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for ABC Daytime and will receive a tote bag or other General Hospital branded items to facilitate my review.”
G = Gigantic as in this is a gigantic mound of snow!
G = Games - This is pretty much how I see my son everyday. The back of his head! When he is older and wonders why there are no pictures of him on my website, I will refer to THIS picture.
Today I watched The View, like a true blue Ambassador!
That's me.
If you missed today's episode all you really need to know is that Rob Pattinson was on!
Looking anti-Edward. Ill fitting gray suit and weird hair Rob is hot! He and Emilie de Ravin, were there to discuss Remember Me. All I kept thinking was poor Emilie! Does anyone really care that she is there? I am interested in hearing what she has to say, I have been watching her on Lost for the past 6 years. But, the fans and Barbara were all about Rob. How old is Barbara? Excuse me as I am vulgar, she was almost sliding off the couch talking to Rob. I was annoyed the way she discussed "the fangs" which, he never had in Twilight! Did anyone ever see fangs?
There were a few times the woman actually said, "Barbara." Too funny!
When Rob was asked about the age of woman he is interested in, he said, Betty White was hot and that "the more age the better." He likes older woman! Nice! Hooray me! He finds older women sexy!! Why wouldn't he love someone as old as Barbara Walters and Betty White when he has screaming 12-14 year old girls shouting in face every day. Rob, call me!
I love watching him interviewed. He is funny and handles himself well. He appears bright, honest and down to earth. What a sexy man!
Barbara thinks he is brilliant in Remember Me and compared him to James Dean to which he was elated to hear with a "Wow" and a modest blush and uncomfortable shift in his seat. I am dying to see this movie.
Then Barbara asked him about the Details interview where he talks about being allergic to vaginas.
Here is a picture taken 7 years ago at my Baby Shower. My grandmother was 88 years old at the time. She is a little tiny thing, about 4'5 at the moment. I feel like a giant standing next to her at 4'11".
Hopefully this month I will get to visit my grandparents, my kids, great grandparents. I love that my grandparents are both still around. It is amazing to me that at 43 I have two grandparents who still send her birthday and holiday money in a card. It is a Godsend.
Before you guys get any ideas, this is a story of the Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly.
Today after school, Goddess was singing the song "there was an old lady who swallowed a fly". She does a lot of singing so this was not abnormal. While singing it we confused some of the animals so I told her we could find it online.
It really is an odd song originally sung by Burl Ives in 1953.
Here is a version by Judy Collins that I heard in 1977 with the Muppets
What is up with Nursery Rhymes that are just plain scary?
Goddess' question where:
Why did she swallow the fly?
How will all the animals get out?
Her comments were: "I don't want her to die!
I wish she wouldn't have to die!
It is funny but it is scary!"
As a child, I always felt this song was so strange and a little gross and will never understand why so many childhood stories, songs, and movies focus so much on death. Obviously we all have to come to terms with death at some point in our lives but to have it constantly thrust in the face of those who don't understand it seems just cruel.
As a parent it is hard enough to discuss the topics of things that come up on a day to day basis. Now with my daughter constantly talking about not wanting to lose me, I wonder how to answer her questions about death and dying.
"Where is heaven?
Why do people who are dying say, I will always be with you if they are in heaven?
Why do people have to die?
I will miss you when you die!
I don't want you to ever die!"
All this from a 4.11 year old who has fortunately not had someone close to her pass away. And, is fairly sheltered when it comes to what she is allowed to watch and listen to. The questions will only get harder as she understands more.
Is anyone else going through this with their preschooler?
I take a lot of self portrait of me and my kids but when someone actually takes my photo candidly with them I am so happy. This was at my girlfriend Teresa's house and I had asked her daughter who at the time was maybe 8 to take my picture with Goddess. Asking one of the adults makes me feel silly and immature for some reason so asking a child felt totally OK. Goddess was laughing at her God sister and looked at her which is when J happened to snap. Although it wasn't the picture I was originally looking for it has turned into one of my favorites.
You, my readers will never doubt how much I adore my kids, but with this picture, she will never doubt how much I love her. Long after I am gone, she will have pictures like this to tell her that her mommy loved and adored her.
This is what happens when you go down a hill on your face. Notice the amount of snow up Handsome's nose and surrounding his ear. He is loco on a snow hill.
I was excited to join this campaign because sometimes cooking for 1 is just plain annoying. The kids only eat 2-3 different things and my husband is always on his own kick so sometimes popping something in the microwave is the only way I eat.
The first one I tried was Roast Red Pepper Marinara - Fire-roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, and tangy marinara sauce complement whole-grain cavatelli pasta. With notes of Chardonnay wine and sea salt, this all-natural meal will tantalize your taste buds.
In a Nutshell: Here is what it looked like..
The proof is in the pasta!
It looks like homemade!
It taste like homemade!
And with well under 300 calories a meal a great alternative to any meal.
As someone who was raised on pasta my whole life and makes a pretty decent sauce, I am extremely picky about sauce.
I loved it!
The second entree' I received was Creamy Basil Pesto
Garden-fresh flavor of broccoli and tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, Chardonnay wine, and creamy basil pesto. Mixed with whole-grain cavatappi and topped with mozzarella cheese, this vegetarian dish is both wholesome and delectable.
I didn't manage to get a photo of the dish because I ate it on the fly. This is also one of the best parts of these entree's you can bring them with you. Just pop it in a handy dandy microwave wherever you are. Perfect for eating at work!
