Ziploc Storage Bags & Containers Are Good For More Than Keeping Food Fresh

Ziploc gets the Good Housekeeping Seal in my house.

Even before my son started school we used Ziploc bags and containers like they were going out of style. Now that my son is in school, I buy a package every other shopping trip to the supermarket.

Not only do they keep food the freshest but the seal stays tighter more than any other storage bag I have used.

When my son started eating I made a promise to myself that I would never buy him jar food. I spent my weekend making squash, spinach, beets, peas, sweet potato, and every other kind of vegetable you can think of. I boiled, strained, mashed and stored each one in Ziploc containers with the name of the veg and the date I made it. My freezer was stocked from the heart. Together Ziploc and I fed my baby boy with the freshest produce possible.

Here are just a few of my other Ziploc uses:
  • Storing soups, stews, and gravies which I make in bulk and save for later.
  • Serving sized snack for my kids after school snacks.
  • Transport snacks to my children's class on snack days.
  • Store my office supplies
  • Store all my Etsy shop jewelry so when someone orders I know exactly where it is without having to open a million boxes.
  • Bead holders, so I can stay organized
  • My kids small crayons. We use them for crafts.
  • Keep a bag in each kids school bags with a change of clothes, and contact information.
  • Coupon holder for my car
  • Holds broken toys until I can re-glue them.
  • Homemade playdoh storage containers
  • I have a bag attached to each puzzle so we don't loose any pieces.

There are so many uses I could run out of blog before I list them all. This year my son's kindergarten teacher asked that each boy bring in a box of Ziploc sandwich bags and the girls bring in Ziploc storage bags. I have no idea what she is doing with them but she was very specific.

And if the freshness isn't enough to get you buying Ziploc how about the fact that each Ziploc product has a Box Top Coupon on it.
