SRP: $9.93 – Currently available wherever DVDs are sold
iTunes: $7.99 (Available beginning Tuesday, March 16th)

Thanks to The Family Review Network and Classic Media, I was selected to participate in a review for the original Here Comes Peter Cottontail Movie.

Released back in 1971 starring Danny Kaye and Casey Kasem we follow Peter Cottontail into April Valley as becomes Chief Easter Bunny. Sassafrass the narrater shows us a magic egg and thus begins the story of Peter.  To become Chief Easter Bunny, Peter Cottontail has to defeat Irontail (Vincent Price) by delivering the most eggs on Easter Sunday.

In A Nutshell: I was thrilled to show this DVD to my daughter. We love watching movies together and being able to say, "I saw this when I was a little girl" was an honor. This is the same Stop-Motion animation that we are familiar with from our childhood (Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer).

What I Can Tell You: This is a true classic. There aren't enough kid shows during Easter and I love this one. My daughter is allowed to watch a movie before bed as long as she is in bed at 7:00 P.M. She has watched this Here Comes Peter Cottontail every other night since we got it.

Thanks to the Family Review Network  and Classic Media, I have another copy to give away to a lucky winner. What a great addition to the Easter Baskets this year.
I have 3 different coloring sheets like this one available to anyone who wants them. Just email me at and I would be happy to forward to you.
