My Kids Can Bring Me To Tears

Today Goddess made me cry!

Not in a bad way just in a oh my heart breaks because you are too adorable way.

We were lying in my bed watching General Hospital when she said, "mommy when I get bigger I will go out by myself?"

I told her "yes of course, when you are bigger, you will go out alone."

She said, "Mommy, will you miss me when I am bigger?"

I told her "oh honey, I will miss you like crazy." We hugged and I turned to look at the TV.

She said, "Don't worry mommy, I will come back." The she kissed my nose. We looked at the TV again then she sat up grabbed my face and said, "Mommy I will miss you so much when I get bigger."

That is when the tears started. It made me think about the future and how she will eventually grow up and not want to lie and cuddle with me.

It made me sad to think that one day she will go out on her own and I will miss her terribly.

It also made me think that one day she will miss me when I am gone.

Hug your children and hold them tight. It just goes so fast.

  2. Oh my I have had quite a few of those moments! They are bittersweet. You want them to go out on their own and be successful and independent but yet you want to protect them forever. And then you also worry if they will be ok when you are gone.

  5. Beautiful post!! But don't worry, even when she grows up and moves out, she will still want to cuddle on the bed. When my boys come and visit, we watch TV or movies on the sofa or sofa bed cuddled up together, and it is really sweet!!
As usual, you have included a gorgeous photo of Goddess!!
