"Attention, Kmart Shoppers, we are having a Blue Light Special in our Ladies Wear Department!"

That was me in 1985 when I worked for Kmart. I am honestly not sure if they still run Blue Light Specials but back in the day, watch out! The moment I started walking that blue light to the section of the floor where the deal was being held, you would think I was the Pied Piper. Everyone followed.

Here we are in 2009 and Kmart is still helping us get a deal.

Every week a different item will be FREE with purchase of $15 in school supplies. See the Kmart weekly ad or kmart.com every Sunday for saletastic offers.
Week of Aug. 1 – 8: Free 70-page theme book with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 9 – 15: Free Woodcase pencils with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 16 – 22: Free Kleenex with $15 purchase of school supplies.

Week of Aug. 23 – 29: Free Sharpie with $15 purchase of school supplies.
