Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Are OMG GOOD!

Like the rest of the world who spend time on various socials while on their phone I do too. My poison is Instagram and Facebook which is where I found the recipe for these cinnamon rolls.

Found the video for these on Craig Clark's Facebook and saved it for Christmas morning. Here is Craig reacting to someone making them. How could I not try them?

My family loved them and I am craving them right now.

Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
1/2 cup of heavy cream or light. We used light
1/4 cup of unsalted butter. We only had salted.
1/2 cup of brown sugar. We used light brown
Cinnamon

Heat the oven to 350

Arrange your rolls  in a pan. We used a pie pan
Poor the heavy cream in the blank space between your rolls

Melt the butter and add the brown sugar and some cinnamon (don't ask. I just shook it over until I could smell it) and whisk together. Our butter was softened
Spoon the mixture over each one.

Bake for 25 minutes.

While baking we used 1/2 cup of powered sugar, a splash of milk and a splash of vanilla. The first time I made it with vanilla that wasn't clear and the frosting was a little darker and the second time I used clear vanilla so my frosting was white.  Mix together and include whatever topping came with your cinnamon rolls.

This was the cream cheese topping with our topping mixture

When they come out spoon the topping over the rolls and serve! SOOO good. We have made them twice since Christmas and everyone loves them.

I Made Pernil And It Was Delicious #recipes #dinner

Yesterday I made Pernil. I have been craving it since last August when a friend had her daughter's graduation party.

I grabbed the pernil recipe from Kitchen Gidget. It was marinated for over 18 hours as I prepped it yesterday morning and my son had 2 helpings so it is a win/win for me.

We Made Ree Drummond's Lava Cake And It Was Delicious

My Goddess and I love baking and we love sweets so when she asked if we could try to make Lava Cake I thought...why not...how hard could it be? Who is my go to Recipe Queen? Why Ree Drummond of course.

I quickly found her recipe online and ordered some ramekin cups and made sure we had the ingredients on hand. Two days later our 6 ramekin cups arrived from Amazon and we made the immediately.

Ree's Recipe
Baking spray, for spraying custard cups
1 stick butter
2 ounces bittersweet chocolate
2 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
2 whole eggs
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Vanilla ice cream, for serving

It was so easy and as good as any restaurant we have ordered it from. Sooooo good. We highly suggest you try your hand at Lava Cake!

Boss Baby Says Only Closers Get Cookies But With This Recipe There Is Enough For Everyone #BossBabyMovieNight

Only Closers get cookies in The DreamWorks Boss Baby movie. If you have not seen it, you need to see it. It is adorable, funny, very witty and got me baking which made my family very happy.

In Boss Baby the Boss informs another baby “Put that cookie down. Cookies are for closers.” If you, like me have no idea what that means I have the low down. This was in fact loosely based on a line Alec Baldwin says in a 1992 movie titled Glengarry Glen Ross. Alec is a sales manager and tells his employee, “Put that coffee down. Coffee is for closers.”

While I have no idea what kind of cookies Boss Baby likes, I decided to try my hand at a recipe from Martha Stewart.  While they took a little more time than other cookies, it was worth it.

My kids loved them!

I hope you have a chance to try out the cookies while watching Boss Baby out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital July 25th!

Cauliflower Crust Pizza Is Delicious #recipe

Oh my gosh I never thought it would be good but it was amazing!

I used riced cauliflower from Green Giant, shredded cheese from Shoprite, Parmesan cheese (BelGioioso) cherry tomatoes also Shoprite, jar sauce (Rao's), fresh basil, and some oregano.

Oven at 425
Parchment paper on the bottom of the cooking sheet.

Mix one egg white and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese with the whole bag of cauliflower and mix together. You can use whole cauliflower that you put in the food processor and make your own but I was all about a quick dinner.

Let cauliflower sit in a strainer or as I did, just push with a paper towel. Since it wasn't fresh there wasn't much water. Get as much water out as possible for a crispy crust.

Put down on parchment and shape into your pizza bottom. I like the rustic shape, mostly oblong.

Place in the oven for 10 minutes.

Put your toppings on and put back in for about 7-10 minutes until lightly browned and cheese is melted.

Now for the best part, EAT!

Breakfast On A Cloud

NO AFFILIATION AT ALL WITH A COMPANY. JUST A PERSONAL MENTION BECAUSE IT IS NOW SOMETHING WE USE ALL THE TIME. ALREADY TOSSED 4 OF OUR OTHER PANS.

My husband has been watching the As Seen On TV infomercials and had been talking about the Red Copper Square Pan. Every time he watched he put down his phone and said, "it bakes, fries, roasts, and so much more and NOTHING sticks. We should get this".  His birthday was coming and I thought...hmmmm...that is an idea! SO...we got it and now he is asking for more so I guess he is loving it.

It is 100% copper and came with a basket for frying, a lid and the utensils to use when cooking; Spatula and spoon.

The first thing he wanted to try was something he saw on the infomercial. The recipe called for biscuits to be put in the bottom of the pan.

Make a thumb print
Crack and egg in each indentation
Put cheese on top and cover

When we took it off the stove because the biscuits were starting to burn on the bottom but the eggs were still soft my husband was ready to toss it out but I thought...let's put it in the oven at 350 and watch it. I started it at 5 minutes and the eggs started getting firm.  By 8 minutes it was ready to come out and it was amazing except for the 1 inch of burnt biscut. The best part was that it came right out of the pan.

Clean up was a breeze.

My New "Take Along" Dish

Everyone I know has a "take along" dish that they are famous for or that they always bring with them when they visit for dinner or parties. I have never had one dish. Usually I made whatever I felt like making but over the summer I met someone who made this and said everyone asks for it when she visits. She didn't write the recipe for me but I remembered most of it (I hope) and altered it for my own taste.

This is an olive dip that tastes even better the second day.
  • Kalamata Olives
  • Green Olives
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Fresh Basil
  • Pepper
  • A dash of mustard
  • Sun dried tomatoes (not in hers but I had some)
Put it in a food processor until it is the consistency you want.
In the fridge for at least two hours and serve with chips or baked Italian toast.
