Chuck E Cheese Is So Much Fun

This morning I woke up feeling that although I don't feel like going anywhere, school starts in a few short weeks and we have a Summer Fun List to get through.

At the beginning of the Summer I sat down with the kids to ask what they wanted to do this summer, this is what they came up with. Nothing too complicated. I figured we could easily get through this. Then my infection decided to move in and getting moving became difficult.

Today, Teach handed me $60.00 and we decided right then to get them dressed and out for something on the fun list.

We said goodbye to Teach as he headed out to work and we headed to Chuck E. Cheese. Handsome asked the whole time where we were going. Goddess stated that she wanted it to be a surprise and she was very excited although she thought we were going to Chuck E. Cheese.

When I got there I went with the 105 tokens asking the chick at the register if I could bring them home if we didn't go through all of them to use the next time. She said yes. I had no idea that we would go through all of them.

Goddess started on the rocking horse

While Handsome played in the tunnels above our heads. No photos of that because, well...he was inside them.

Then they played air hockey

And rode the heli-bike. Pedal and it starts rising.

Then we played a bunch of games

I thought they would kill someone while playing skeet ball so there are no pictures as I protected the innocent around us.

Goddess played with the train only once which is very different from the first time we went. She wanted to play the whole time.

As you can see, we eventually had enough and when I saw this, I knew it was time to go.

I would have taken more pictures but there was no place to put my camera bag, tote bag with their water and snacks, tokens and tixs. If I could have snapped the camera with my teeth I would have. Next time, no tote bag and a fanny pack for the tix and tokens. Better yet, the kids need pockets to hold their own damn tickets.

They had a great time and it was worth it.

  1. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed. They really look like they had a good time. They've grown so much!! Love the picture of Handsome holding his head, it is a typical Handsome pic. BTW love the haircut too. Looks like you only have a few more things to do on the list but you handled a lot already. And the last part, fun, fun, fun has definitely been handled by the look of your post. I know its hard to get out of the house when you don't feel well, I've felt that way many times, but when you see the happiness and fun it brings them, it makes it all worth while. Glad you guys had a good time!

  2. Awesome fun! I had a birthday at Chuck E Cheese when I was 8 or 9.... loved it, but it was different then. Things have changed since I took my own kids back.

  4. We got to Chuck E Hell every couple of months or so....I'm not sure why. Yours looks a lot less crowded and !!!cleaner!!! than the one here.
Skeet ball-OMG! It should be illegal for kids under 10 to play. I pray no one dies every time my daughter puts one of those balls in her hands.
