Mommy's Idea

Ummm...hello...enough with the snow already. I simply cannot take anymore. Pictures to come.

Have been waking at 5:00 a.m. - 5:30 lately...why? I don't really know but it may have something to do with the school calling at 5:30 if it is a snow day. We have had 3 snow days this week.

Weirdness - Two nights ago, I was walking into the kitchen when I heard something that made me look down. What did I see? A puzzle piece that has been missing for over a year. Call Ghost Hunters? Or, did a mouse push it out from wherever it was hiding for 12 months? Weird!

My daughter has a weird way with words. Lately, she keeps telling me as she hugs me, "I'm going to miss you when you die and I will always think of you." and "I wish you didn't ever have to die."

Handsome complained of an upset stomach last night, When I walked him to the bathroom to see if maybe he needed to throw up he said, "I want to do this alone mom!"

General Hospital's court date is holding my attention the way I had hoped.

My daughter loves her chocolate and her Eggos so...mom put them together for an amazing breakfast presentation which she now asks for waaaay too much.

My sister wrote on Facebook how excited she was to see Black Eyed Peas. Everyone was excited and jealous with her. Am I the only person in the world that doesn't get why they are popular?

I seriously need to color my hair, but the snow is holding me up. Damn roots!

Was up last night from 11:30 - 3:00 a.m. (after going to sleep by 9:30 - 11:00) Found on a channel I had never see before, Tru TV . The show was called The Smoking Gun Presents...it was hysterical.

Yesterday took the kids into the snow and had a little fun! Obviously there was some tossing going on which they begged for. After two throws each my husband told them he was too tired.

Looks like my boys are playing catch with Goddess here.

BTW...this is what you look like when you face plant and get snow up your nose.

Last note: Overheard Goddess humming Lady Gaga...too funny. She doesn't know the words, just the beat for Bad Romance.

  1. Weird about the Puzzle Piece showing up after a year.
Darn school calling you at that time of the morning.
Looks like the kids had fun though in the snow.
I'm debating with myself if I'm going to keep dying my hair or not.
I don't like it as it's growing out because of the root thing, but I'm also getting tired of paying for the hair dye, so I've got the good angel, bad devil on my shoulder debate thing going on over this silliness. Still waiting to see which little shoulder spirit will win.

  2. I agree, enough with the snow. I hate summer (the really hot days) but I was praying for them today.

That is weird when your children say stuff like that. You got to wonder if they know something you don't. My daughter always says she can't wait to die to go be with Jesus and give him big hugs. Of course it make me happy to know she love Jesus so much, but I am selfish and want her here with me right now.

I was picking my teen daughter up from school today and a really cool song came on. I like the beat, rhythm and back up sound. I asked my daughter who it was and she said Black Eyed Peas. I was shocked. It didn't sound like Fergie at first. But I like most of their songs, so I guess you could say I am a fan. LOL

  3. You're kids are adorable I must say. Nowadays it seems that kids are growing up right before your eyes! And I love Fergie and Apl of Black Eyed Peas.

  5. 530 am should not even EXIST....

My daughter talks about how sad she would be if a stranger took her away from me sometimes, not often, but she takes spells where she wants to talk about that in great detail.

    Those Eggos look fabulous!

Handsome looks like a snow ninja in that top photo!

When my daughter started singing the Lady Gaga Christmas Tree song I knew it was time to STOP playing her music! Look THOSE lyrics up and imagine a three year old singing them--not cool at all.

  6. Welcome to FF! You're quite good at it; I loved your randomness :)

I cannot imagine having THREE snow days in a single week! Where do you live?? I suppose they're going to have to make some of those up?

That puzzle piece thing is...well...a puzzle! :)

Your daughter's comments are really sweet and funny. I remember mine saying similar things when she was small.

I hope you fragment again; I like the "voice" in your writing :)

  7. I have a negative disc (?) from an old camera that has a negative of what might have been a ghost in an apt I lived in about 25 yrs ago.

I keep losing it, then find it years later. I put it in what I think is a safe place, and months later I can't find it. It pops up here and there. The original pic in missing as well!

If you look on my blog- we are up to our beep-beep's in snow, too!

Darn snow is keeping my hair gray and overgrown, as well. And no time...

  8. ~ I cannot imagine being up north this year, we have barely been able to stand the cold we've had here. The snow would probably have driven me insane - literally.
~ If someone calls me at 5:30 in the morning, I always think it is bad news and my heart starts pounding.
~ Pretty creepy about the puzzle piece (Twilight Zone music sounds in the background).
~ Goddess has such a pure heart, I love her beautiful mind, you have done such a beautiful job jeaching her so far.
~ Handsome is growing up so quick, it is so hard to let go. I know he still needs you, though.
~ My kids love chocolate chip Eggos and so do I.
~ I hate the Black Eyed Peas, too.
~ OMG I LOVE The Smoking Gun!!
~ Your photos are so wonderful, I'm glad the kids have so much fun in the snow - even if it means getting a face full! :-)
