Oh we LOVE our National Geographic Kids! We get tha magazines, get their calendar, watch the channel and have many of their toys and visit their website at least weekly.
This time we are talking about their Fact A Day Fun Journal and Their Funny Fill In books.
My Weird
But True Fact-A-Day Fun Journal ($12.99)
Life's weird sometimes! Here's a chance for
Weird But True fans to keep their own personal
diary about the weird and wacky world around them. For inspiration, there's a
Weird But True fact a day, plus a daily place
for kids to report on all the WBT stuff they observe and experience on their
own 24/7. It's a year's worth of fun to enjoy, record, and remember!
NG Kids Funny Fill-Ins: My
Ancient Egypt, My
Backyard Adventure, My Safari Adventure, My Inside Earth Adventure ($4.99 each)
Filled with color pages, great
photos, fun facts and laugh-out-loud illustrations, these four books are sure
to provide hours of entertainment at home, at school, or on those long
Christmas Day trips to Grandma's house!
Each book contains over 20 activities and, once completed, make one big story about a cool backyard
adventure, an exciting safari, a trip inside Earth or exploring Ancient Egypt.
The 411 by Maria and Goddess:
We love all things Nat Geo Kids and these two books are no different. Full of the colorful pictures and insightful information that we have come to know and love about Nat Geo these books are so much fun and would make great gifts.
Kids are curious by nature and love reading quick little tidbits about things they find interesting, funny, odd, and different. The My Weird
But True Fact-A-Day Fun Journal is a great book because of the size, although we think a little more space to write in would be great we think this book is a great way to get kids into journaling on an interesting small scale.
Goddess particularly loves that kids can go to "their calendar like their parents and see and do something interesting and different".
We both love that it is a book that lasts through the year.
The NG Kids Funny Fill-Ins are really fun and we love just reading them and filling them in without really filling them in. We always laugh as we fill in the blanks with our made up stories and think kids will love doing this in a group as well as alone.
