The 411 by Maria:

Amazing movie! I am a huge Matt Damon fan and haven't LOVED a movie so much in a long time.

Very quick in the movie a dust storm overtakes the astronauts during a trip to Mars. Believing one of their own is dead the survivors make it back to the spaceship and take off back to Earth. The only problem is....he isn't dead but he is now alone. Think Castaway on Mars!

When NASA starts getting satellite images back from Mars they quickly realize their astronaut botanist isn't dead but very much alive and trying to do what he can to survive the four years it will take NASA to send a ship back for him.

Growing potatoes out of porta potty waste and listening to Disco music our astronaut is doing his best and you are totally rooting for him.

I doubt if this would have been as interesting without Matt or Ridley Scott but I was completely glued to the movie meaning no Facebook or Instagram interaction on my part during the 142 minute long movie.
