Teen Wolf Is A Series To Get Involved In!

Based on the movie Teen Wolf starring Michael J. Fox back in 1985 this series is on MTV and reruns on TeenNick.

The series revolves around social outcast Scott McCall, a young lacrosse-playing student at Beacon Hills High. His life drastically changes when he is bitten by a werewolf one night, making him a werewolf as well. With the help of his best friend, Stiles, and the mysterious werewolf, Derek, he is forced to learn to balance his newfound identity among the many dangers that it presents with his teenage life. He must keep his loved ones safe and balance the relationships and secrets he shares with each person around him. The theme of "finding your place" is a prevalent undertone that is mirrored by the pack mentality of werewolves.

The 411 by Maria:

OK...here is what you need to know. I NEVER watch TV. There is very little time so while I knew of this show, sitting down to try to catch it never happened. So glad I was able to review this because I am hooked.

Why should you watch? First off it is a cast of beautiful people. Like Vampire Diaries which is about, well, obviously vampires. This is about werewolves. It is a nice healthy balance now if I could find time to catch up on Vampire Diaries.

They need to merge these two beautiful casts because the fans would go wild.

Forget the cover of the DVD! This does not make me want to watch the show at all. I am not exactly sure who thought this was the right cover but I digress. The show is about a teenager named Scott who is quiet, isn't popular and cannot play lacross to save his life. He basically warms the bench until he is bitten by a wolf. A werewolf to be exact. Like most superhero story lines go, it is fun watching him learn his new powers. All new powers have a learning curve and Scott's are no different. If he gets angry or hot for his new "female" friend and his pulse rinses, watch out! Scott will lose control although he is learning how to pull it back.

If this isn't enough to get you to watch how about this?

Meet Tyler Hoechlin who plays Derek, a lonely, brooding were not unlike Robert Pattinson's Vampire Edward. I see a resemblance and found it interesting to find out that Tyler turned down a role in Twilight as I believe Emmett.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary DVD for the purpose of this review.

  2. Rita, His eyes and cheek bones! Wow! He was the little 9 year old son of Tom Hanks in Road to Perdition in 2002. If you saw this you are one up on me. Never saw it but it makes me feel very old to know that he was only a lad at the time. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0257044/
