Even More Lesser Spotted Animals by Martin Brown

Even More Lesser Spotted Animals

More Brilliant Beasts You Never Knew You Needed to Know About

Just as Lesser Spotted Animals showed you some of the wonderfully WOW wildlife we never get to see, the next book of the lesser known animal kingdom reveals the stories of even more of the world's unseen and unsung creatures. No king-of-the-jungle, fancy-pants, hair necked lions here — we've got the magnificent maned wolf instead. No blue whales either, we've got beaked whales — and lorises and dingisos and dibatags and many, many more.

The 411:

This is a great resource book for kids who are learning about animals or need to read about animals but feel overwhelmed by larger resources. I wish my kids had books like this when they were in Elementary School.

The whimsical illustrations, font, cartoons, and layout of the information make it an easy read for those reluctant readers.  The only thing that would have made this better would have been a "real" photo of the animal being described.

My family and I loved learning about animals we never knew existed and it encouraged us to learn more and research what they really looked like.

For instance the Forest Musk Deer looks like this...

We really loved information and the cartoon feel of the book with all the word bubbles.
