You can be a Mom and Still Feel Great about the Way You Look

AS a mom, you know that sometime it's hard to look your best. You’re always on the run and sometimes it's the end of the day and you realize you've forgotten to shower. Maybe you make a habit of driving your kids to school in your PJ's, but still hope you don't have to get out of your car. But remember how good it feels to look good? You can look great and still be your best as a mom, in fact, it's good for your whole family to feel good about yourself. Let's take a quick assessment and see what you can do!

Your Hair
Hair - we've all had the good hair days and the bad hair days. It's hard when you're taking care of everyone else to take care of your hair, too. And the thing is, stress and fatigue just aren’t good for your hair. Those things can cause drying and thinning, and that won't help you look your best. However, you can do something about that, even if you can't get more sleep. For instance, iGrow Laser uses low level laser therapy to rejuvenate your hair while you're at home. No need to make an appointment or take too much time out of your day. This product is affordable, safe and fast acting and can help rejuvenate your thinning hair.

Your Skin
Skin is affected by your daily habits just as hair is. How many times have you realized how thirsty you are, then realized you've had no water all day? Each time you’re the smallest bit dehydrated, it takes a toll on your skin. Dry skin is a warning sign of dehydration. Many moms just slather on the lotion and moisturizer, but you really need to be hydrating from the inside out. Drink lots of water. All day. It's easy enough. Have some water bottles ready and grab one whenever you leave the house. If you're in the house, keep one with you. Invest in a nice glass, reusable bottle - good for the environment and good for you. Before long, that sallow, dry look to your skin will be replaced with rosy freshness.

Make up
Not every mom has tons of time for makeup. When you're trying to get out of the house, often the last thing on the priority list is taking that time to do your makeup. But you can add a minute or two in and feel and look just a little better. Here are a few tips for that mommy makeup:

·         Use foundation. Foundation sometime has the reputation of being part of full make up for when you’re going to work or going out. But foundation is good for anytime and every day, as not only does it protect the face from sun and wind (have a good SPF), but it also evens out the skin and takes care of any dark eyes or redness. Make it part of your routine and you'll see it doesn't take much time.

·         Use mascara. Fuller lashes will help your eyes seem bigger and, well, more awake. Moms are tired, so a little oomph in the eyes goes a long way. And if you have an extra minute, go for an eyelash curl. Opening up those lashes will really open up the eyes.

·         Use something on your lips. You don't have to wear bright red lipstick, but even a nice gloss or lip balm will add gentle color to your lips. It will also plump your lips and give them some definition. All good.

Clothes
Pay attention to what you're wearing. That doesn't mean you have to spend big money or wear the latest trends all of the time, but make sure your clothes fit you and hang well. Sometimes the basics are the safest way to go, and you can't go wrong with a great pair of jeans and a cute top. Keep your clothes in your age bracket. You don't want to wear too many things from your daughter's closet, but you don't have to dress like a grandma yet.

As a mom, you work hard. You do everything for the rest of your family, often forgetting yourself. Take a little time on yourself, and it will be worth it.
