Can You Even Believe Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Came Out 30 Years Ago?

Today families can celebrate the 30th anniversary of Disney's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids by streaming the beloved backyard adventure on HBO NOW. The iconic film hit theaters on June 23, 1989 and blew up to become a family classic for generations to come.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids follows Rick Moranis as the quirky inventor Wayne Szalinski and his temperamental shrinking machine. When the Szalinski kids and their neighborhood friends accidentally shrink themselves, they have to navigate their way past a pet dog, a bowl of cheerios, and giant backyard ants to get the attention of their parents and return to regular size before it’s too late.

Below are a few GIFs highlighting the retro special effects and iconic moments from the original film. If you plan to include the anniversary in coverage, we would love if you could mention that the film is available to stream on HBO NOW.
