SYNOPSIS of Snow White and the Huntsman
In this spectacular action-adventure,
Kristen Stewart (Twilight) is Snow White, the only woman in the land
fairer than the evil queen Ravenna (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron).
Ravenna wants nothing more than to destroy her young rival, but she doesn’t
know that Show White has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris
Hemsworth) the queen dispatched to kill her. Together with a handsome prince
(Sam Claflin) enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power, they assemble an
armed force to recapture the kingdom. This breathtaking new vision of the
legendary tale from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland and
acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders is,
in the words of Shawn Edwards, Fox-TV, “A film that soars with creativity,
stylistic genius and amazing battle scenes.”
The 411:
Lips Red as Blood, Hair Black as Night, bring me your heart my dear, dear Snow White.
I was so excited to see this movie and prayed it would live up to the hype. So happy to report that it does! It is a great movie with a lot of action.
The movie is beautifully done and as far as fairy tales goes it is both creepy and dark with dramatic special effects especially when it comes to Charlize Theron as the evil step mother and the dark dagger army. I have no idea what they were but they were AWESOME! Wonderfully creative imagery.
My favorite parts were when Charlize was on screen. She was an evil queen with wicked powers.
Kristen Stewart as Snow is a great choice for this adaptation. She is dark, moody, brooding and beautiful!
Visually the movie feels far from the Snow we all know but it is a beautiful piece of work!
