OMG You cannot love this book. I truly enjoy these annuals books. There is so much inside the covers. the colorful photos are incredible. The layout spectacular. Even your reluctant reader will be enticed to read.  I know many people think with our smartphones, computers, tablets and that books are unnecessary but I do not agree!!! If you put this book on your coffee table or desk someone will definitely pick it up. My kids often take a Ripley's Believe It Or Not to school on those days that I opt them out of a state test or on a half day when their teachers say bring in a book. We love these books because there is just so much information but it is laid out in a fun way. PLUS there are so many fun, interesting, disgusting, facts to learn. Things I have never seen before like the Cicada below.

I think my favorite reason for loving this book is because sometimes I just want to read something that I can open on any page without having to read from cover to cover. I read so many books and taking a break from a story that I need to read from start to finish is sometimes really nice.

To be honest, I always liked weird and odd and this book is perfect.
