My Girl And I Hit A Different Kinda Boardwalk!

Yeah we just got back from the salty air, sandy Wildwood Boardwalk of New Jersey but my girl and I hit a different boardwalk last week. The Pochuck Boardwalk of Vernon New Jersey goes through the tall grass, over rocks and creeks to the sounds of crickets, birds and more. I have wanted to do this boardwalk for over 18 years now and it finally happened. 

I am glad we did it now because thanks to my daily multivitamin regime everyday my body (hip and back) can handle this kinda thing. The boardwalk is mostly about 2-3 feet above ground, narrow and at one particular area a little scary but it was awesome! Ended up a little too hot to do the whole things but next time.

Spending time with her walking in nature and saying hello to complete strangers always makes me happy.

Handsome: Goddess goes to bed too late. It makes no sense.
Me: Nope
Handsome: Did you just gulp?

My Life In Pictures Nov 21 - 30

November 21 - My little classroom tree. I got it and all the decorations for it at Dollar Tree. While it literally looks like the $4.00 I spent on it. 2 trees, garland and lights; my class called it a Christmas tree immediately and loved it! They were so excited. 

November 22 - I saved a copy of my son's Instagram pic and couldn't agree more. Our kids NEED to get back to school. Enough already. 

November 23 - Just my girl and I hanging out and LUNA decides to make herself comfortable. Never really happens to anyone else in the family. Luna comes to me at night when I first get in the bed but only stays about 25% of the time with her usually playing coy and leaving. 

November 24 - Thanksgiving! 

November 25 -  NADA

November 26 -  JINXY!

November 27 - Some Thanksgiving food! This looks amazing right now.

November 28 - My girl helping her daddy with Christmas decorations. Her brother was playing a video game as usual. OH well, at least one of them helps.

November 29 - The mantel looks amazing. I love it although next year there will be a TV above it so no room for anything, I am enjoying this.

November 30 - My assistant did these really cute Santa hands with the class. Aren't they they cutest?

It's All In The Pink

The kids and I went to the Botanical Gardens two weeks ago and took some beautiful photos of all the flora coming into bloom! Wish there was more of this color around my house.

 

Sweet Shots

My daughter and niece together really make me smile. They are so cute and similar. Watching the comfort they have with each other even though they only see each other once or twice a year makes me feel good. Before my daughter, my niece was my baby. I used to take her to my house to spend the summer. She has a very special soul and a huge heart. I adore her to pieces. Hopefully we see her more this year but at least we had three days with her and that was worth so much!

Your Sunday Best - Celebrating America Parade

It was so hot yesterday but I wanted to grab some photos from the Celebrating America Parade near my town. Plus, Handsome had to march with his Wolf Den so we headed out with a whole lot of water and lined up with the rest of the parade participants.

My favorite shot has to be this adorable boy from one of the floats. Goddess knew his name from school so I called him, he turned and I got this shot! He was one of the pirates for a float and is tooo cute with his earring and beard.

I love her face in this picture. The way she is intently looking at something is pretty much how you will see her. She sees everything and is interested in everything.

D = Dog

This little guy was at the soccer field and is very friendly. My kids love dogs. Fortunately, this guy is very sweet with kids and doesn't mind being pet by loads of kids at once.

Goddess's friends were over yesterday for a Webkinz Jr. Party. One of the brought over this little guy along with 3 other crabs.

Memory Rewind is Back

Last week due to my computer virus I missed Memory Rewind. This week I am back and here is a picture of my Handsome turning 1. Notice the crazy hair. That is because earlier I had done a scalp treatment on his scalp for eczema. I called it descaling, I out baby oil on his scalp and then with a comb, cleared his scalp. This was also before central air and we were melting. It was hot in the house. You can see the red all over my face. I am not a summer person and don't do well in the heat.

Here is my baby eating cake. Shocking, I think it was the last time. He doesn't like cake at all anymore.

I love looking at these pictures. How young we all were. How easy life seemed. You have no idea how easy one kid is until you throw in a second. This was a picnic.

Patiently Waiting

I took this photo for Monochrome Weekly, while waiting on a bench at the park for Goddess. It was a beautiful, November day and those will be few and far between as we head into the colder months of NY.
