Dan Jones and Jesse Pollack’s powerful The Acid King, the story of Ricky Kasso, an American teenager who murdered his friend, Gary Lauwers, in an alleged "Satanic sacrifice" during the summer of 1984, premieres On Demand November.

On Demand November 9 from Wild Eye Releasing.

The 411:

I don’t recall the story of Ricky Kasso, a drugged up teen who murdered his friend in the woods while on drugs. Like most documentaries there are a eyewitnesses, people who knew him when and others who worked on the grisly case. I’m not someone who is invested in learning everything you can about true life or even fake crimes, but felt that as a documentary fan, the filmmakers definitely covered it all. There are many interviews, a ton of detail and accounts of just who these players were and how they came to be the animals they were. Yes, animals because anyone who could stab another human and mutilate a body is an animal and Ricky and everyone associated with the murder and cover up of this crime is an animal in my eyes.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary screener for my honest opinion.
