Charlie’s Wish Is An Adorable Christmas Movie

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS

In this heartwarming holiday film starring Aiden Turner (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), a troubled war vet’s family finds new hope from a scrappy little rescue dog. Discharged and sent home for the holidays, John (Turner) tries hard to adapt to civilian life—and to son Jimmy’s new pet, a feisty terrier named Charlie. As the family meets other struggling local veterans, they know it’ll take a miracle to bring peace to them and to John. Good thing Charlie has a direct line to the Man Upstairs…

Just in time for the holidays comes a feel-good family film with a loveable dog, Charlie’s Christmas Wish, unwrapping on DVD, Digital, and On Demand November 10 from Lionsgate. Awarded the Dove Seal of Approval for All Ages, Aiden Turner, Lindsey McKeon, Jay M. Brooks and Diane Ladd star in this heartwarming tale. The Charlie’s Christmas Wish DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.98

The 411:

I wasn’t sure if I would like this movie but it was really sweet with a lot of heart. Mostly about Charlie who is the central character to a bunch of side stories. Jimmy and his mom go to a shelter and fall in love with Charlie who is heard talking to God. God tells Charlie he has a job to do. Jimmy’s dad John comes home early from Afghanistan a little early with some PTSD issues and doesn’t know where he fits in.

Mom is doing more hours at work. Jimmy feels he has to hide Charlie from his dad because dad wanted to get him a bigger dog like the one he misses his service dog.

Jimmy has been taken care while dad is away by another VET who has been a God send to the family helping the young boy and the “single” working mom.

As much as John doesn’t like Charlie, Charlie follows him everywhere even on a job interview. John meets other VETS and realizes many VETS are suffering from mental illness and homelessness without assistance. John falls for Charlie and the town works together to find housing for VETS.

The movie hits on some big issues in a non scary way so the whole family can watch. My family thought it was cute and we want our own Charlie.
