Ripley's Believe It Or Not is one of our family's favorites books. It is full of full color photos and a ton of information you would never even know to research for online. Ripley's puts it all in one place. Like how would anyone know there is a sheep dung spitting contest? Ripley's does and has a full page to show you and tell you all about it. I have no idea how they manage to fill a large hardcover book with new information on the strange and odd every year but they do.

The layout to Ripley's is always attention grabbing. Large stand out articles in colorful boxes with easy to read information along with colorful photos and small tidbits of interesting stories from all over the globe.

I have two reluctant readers. My daughter as much as it kills me doesn't love reading but will sit with this book in  her tent for hours. In fact, she is sitting with it right now. I wish I could do read it cover to cover one day. I usually just grab it and flip pages reading here and there. It is a great book for on the go reading or to sit down and read in one sitting.
