Last week, Goddess and I laid on the couch after homework, dinner and showers and needed to stay warm which usually means bundling up under a bunch of blankets with some stuffed animals and a movie or TV show.
Through kaboom! Entertainment I was fortunate enough to review a screener for The Snow Queen: Magic of the Ice Mirror tonight. It was the perfect end to our very busy day.
Come On A Digital ICY ADVENTURE With The
Snow Queen: Magic of the Ice Mirror!
On November 3rd, the storm is BACK in an
all new ice-breaking adventure! In the follow-up feature film, The Snow
Queen: Magic of the Ice Mirror, Gerda (Bella Thorne) and Orm (Sharlto
Copley) team up once again for a fun, family journey you won’t want to miss.
With the holiday’s just around the corner, you’ll want to have this winter
feature ready for long car rides or down time at family functions.
Synopsis:
After celebrating their victory over the Snow Queen, Gerda
and Orm have given their fellow trolls a taste of freedom. But when Orm gets a
cold-hard reality check, they slip into another perilous journey and must
protect the world from eternal winter.
This is a follow up to Snow Queen which we didn't have the chance to see but stands on it's own. In this movie Orm wants to marry the princess and take his grandmother out of the home they have been evicted from due to not paying the rent. In order to prove to the king that he is worthy of marrying his niece the princess and live in the castle he spins a tale of how he defeated the Snow Queen all by himself. His friends are none to pleased. Orm finds himself in major trouble due to his fibs and needs his friends to bail him out.
With wonderful animation and a great message about telling lies and friendship, The Snow Queen: Magic of The Ice Mirror is a great family friendly movie. We particularly liked the white weasel Luta that kept biting Orm on his butt!
We truly missed the Snow Queen in this one but enjoyed it anyway. The animation is great and the story line has some fun moments and a lot of action. It's not FROZEN but it is family friendly and perfect for a cold night.
