The 411 by Maria:

I love Hallmark movies! What I love about these is that they were not sappy at all. I never shed a tear and that my friends is a good thing. Once in a while it is just good to see a feel good movie about family, friends, love and rebuilding our lives that doesn't leave us heartbroken and sniffling into a tissue.

Meddling Mom is an adorable movie about two Ally who is a successful architect and her family. Ally's sister is getting married and all the woman in her life assume that she is upset over this because it isn't her. She isn't upset in the least but her family and friends try to set her up with an adorable guy she wonders if he might be the one. Life gets complicated when she finds herself falling for Ben a co-worker on a project. Thankfully Ally is smart and knows how to handle herself. Everyone wins in this movie.

I love the idea of the meddling mom. Never had one, hope to never be one but a mother's love runs deep and Ally's mom just wants the best for her.

The characters are likable and I love the added side love story. You are never too old to fall in love.

The Sweeter Side of Life finds Manhattan socialite Desiree suddenly a reluctant free woman. When she ends up injured her father is there to rescue her and help her put her life back together although not where she expects to be; in a small bakery shop in Flemington, New Jersey.

Dad's business is suffering although Desiree would never know it. He is a happy, loveable, jolly man sweetly played by James Best (Roscoe from The Dukes of Hazzard. I loved that show!)  Desiree gets a wake up call from a friend and plans to help her father's business.

With the help of her lawyer, a new love interest and the college education her parents paid for, Desiree finds herself living the sweet life!

What a cute movie. I loved how they didn't spend a lot of time on the bitterness of divorce or have Desiree feel like she couldn't move or breathe without her husband, money and life. I appreciated all the secondary characters and what they added and hello, Alastair MacKenzie, where have you been all my life?!

Really two sweet movies. Check them out on Amazon for under $13.00 for both movies.
