I Am - The 10 Commandments Urbanized!

Synopsis

THE MOVIE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING…

I AM

A Powerful And Modern Telling Of The Ten Commandments Arrives On DVD November 2, 2010

A film often described as the “faith-based CRASH,” I AM will be released on DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on November 2, 2010. The Ten Commandments, as you’ve never seen them before, provide the framework for this compelling drama set in the City of Angels. A desperate heiress... A beautiful reporter... A vengeful detective... A charismatic district attorney... In modern-day Los Angeles, all of their lives will intersect, leading to profound choices that will test each character’s morality and faith. With guidance from a mysterious stranger, these lost souls search for answers, only to discover that the path to salvation is closer than they ever could have imagined.

Hailed as “the ultimate love story” by renowned writer and director John Ward and endorsed by famed writer, creationist, journalist and Pastor Lee Strobel, I AM is the first faith-based feature film to be screened exclusively for churches instead of movie theaters. This innovative release strategy is designed to invite in audiences of all walks of life, spur conversation and change the way people view faith-based films. I AM also features an original song, “Say Goodbye,” by recording artist and actress Katharine McPhee (“American Idol,” The House Bunny), whose corresponding music video is exclusively on the DVD.

The DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $22.98 U.S. Pre-book is October 6.

What I Can Tell You:
I didn't think I was going to like this movie. A religious movie about the 10 commandments done in a very modern way?! Could it work?

It was thought provoking, and very well done. 10 people performing each of the 10 commandments in their daily life  in a very urban way. It is based on a simple concept of what happens when we stray from the 10 commandments and the love God has for human kind. I think it is a great movie and will be on Netflix soon. If you have a chance, check it out or you can purchase it at Amazon with free shipping now.

This Friday, my plan is to re-watch it and really hear its message.  There are parts I need to see again.

For more information, head over to the I Am site and check out footage, soundtrack and more.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of I Am from Fox Connect for my honest opinion.
