About Author
Claire Robinson is the host of Food Network's 5 Ingredient Fix and the daily primetime series Food Network Challenge. Claire cites her French-speaking grandmother as a major influence on her love for food. Claire graduated from the French Culinary Institute, is an accomplished private chef, and has produced several cooking series, including Food Network's Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello.

Before this book, I was not familiar with Claire Robinson. However, I had a Mix Pup Party today  (more to come) and the moms I had invited knew of her.

The book is filled with easy to follow recipes that I WOULD cook however, while sitting down and counting the ingredients, most had 6 or 7. Not that that's a problem but I was looking for all the recipes to have 5 ingredients. Maybe they don't count salt as an ingredient.

I am interested to try the Spiced Apple Oatmeal, Breakfast Croque Madame, Apple Spiced Bourbon Toddys and Dry Rubbed BBQ Chicken.

One of my favorite things about the book is that almost each recipe has a full page, color photo. I think all recipe books should have photos!

Also, each recipe has a What Makes This Recipe Sing section and What To Toss In If You Have It. Great accompaniments to the already great recipes.
Really great cookbook for the chef on your holiday list this year.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of 5 Ingredient Fix as part of a Hachette Book Group campaign for my honest opinion.
