Thanks for a PR connection for TOMY, I received a Nintendo DS Game to try out. I was so excited because my 4 year old never gets to play any of the Nintendo Games her brother plays. He is much more game savvy and she usually get frustrated trying to play them. This seemed right up her alley!
When I opened the envelope I thought the cover was awesome! It was very girl and couldn't wait to show Goddess.
She was eager to try it and so was I. I set the parental control to easy and handed her the game.
Lisa is one of 5 kids and helps her parents A LOT!
Her mother asks her to shop, clean up after the babies, help put the triplets down for naps, cook and more. Her father has her help put furniture together. If your child doesn't read yet, like mine after some prompting, they will be able to play the game with zero assistance from you.
Goddess sits and plays with the game every day for about 20 minutes. She has even learned how to read some words.
The best part of the game is the clothes and make-up. Like the real world, you need money for that and this game is no different. I set the parental control to the max amount of points and told Goddess to get Lisa a job. One of the favorites has become florist, hamburger cook and police officer. They games are easy and fun. Plus they have given Goddess the confidence she needs to explore trying some of the other games that frustrated her in the past.
Since Goddess can't read she has to follow directions supplied by the game which means she has to listen well and follow directions. Not a bad thing since she is starting full time school this September.
I love watching her sit quietly and play Lovely Lisa. This is a great game for girls age 4-9.
In A Nutshell: My daughter loves this game. After the first time she can play alone. The graphics are cute and girly. Little Girls will love this game.

Press Release information:
Lovely Lisa and Friends™ came out February 23rd for the Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™. The release marks the second installment to the popular fashion doll simulation game that gives girls an outlet to explore their individual style, while simultaneously developing the skills that promote responsible play habits.
“The original Lovely Lisa game resonated well with young girls and we are confident that Lovely Lisa and Friends will provide them with an enticing, updated version that comes equipped with new features, including the utilization of the Nintendo DSi camera functionality,” said Mark Shinohara, executive vice president and COO at TOMY Corporation. “We are thrilled to bring Lovely Lisa and Friends to the market as it truly is one of the few titles that provides girls with a wholesome outlet to express their creativity.”
Lovely Lisa and Friends is outfitted with socially responsible game play that guides girls on the path to their personal best while having fun. Players can explore their individual creativity and personal style by utilizing the Nintendo DSi camera functionality to take photos of real world images, and apply them to a variety of outfits to dress Lisa. Gamers can then use their new wardrobe to play dress-up with Lovely Lisa’s two best friends, Alice and Maria. The fun continues in mini-games that include helping mom with shopping and cooking, and putting furniture together with dad.
Gamers will also try their hand at a number of professions including a police officer, nurse, and more. As an added feature, if players earn enough Lisa points to buy clothes and accessories, they can partake in the Heart Hills Idol Pageant, an idol game where they can dance their socks off and unveil their fabulous fashion creations.
Lovely Lisa and Friends is rated “E” for Everyone and is now available on Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi for an MSRP of $29.99. For more information, please visit www.TOMY-USA.com/videogames.
