First, I wanted to read the book because the cover is so hot!

Second, I love that this book was about a story about good vs. evil. It's an age old fight but always interesting in fiction.

This is the second book in the Demonborn series by Rita Herron.

Reporter Annabelle Armstrong will go to any lengths to deliver a story, even track down Quinton Valtrez, a man she believes is a coldhearted assassin. Yet the truth about the darkly sensual Quinton is even more shocking...and the overwhelming desire he ignites is one she vows to resist.

Quinton has fought his demonic powers since he was a child. Now using his gifts for the good of national security, he can't let himself be distracted by the beautiful, determined Annabelle. But his need for her is sudden, fierce--and could soon cost Annabelle her life. For a wicked enemy is out for vengeance, a demon who wants to draw Quinton into a life of pure evil and is willing to use Annabelle as bait. To save her, Quinton must achieve the near impossible: tame the sinister force that is both his inheritance and his curse before it claims him forever.

So, obviously our main characters are Annabelle and Quinton (his name is even hot!). This story is set in contemporary times and is about the good and evil in all of us. Quinton and his brother Vincent (from the first Demonborn book entitled Insatiable Desire was born to a Dark Angel and an Angel of Light. While Quinton was born a demon he has decided to suppress his demon side and persue a life of good. He works for National Security and uses his gifts to take down the bad guy. He is an assassin for the government!

What is different about this book than any of the other romance novels I have read lately is that Rita successfully combines Romance and Fantasy and makes it work.

Annabelle is a sexy reporter who while trying to get the story about Quinton she finds herself drawn to the man robed in mystery.

When the Angel of Death returns for his son, Quinton must take a stand against his father and try to win the fight of his life.

So there you have the fantasy part what about the romance? So glad you asked my friend. There is some sexy scenes. Quinton likes to watch and he is very graphic in his fantasys. If you are one of those chicks looking for the guy to be all mushy and romantic with ya, this is not your guy.

While researching author Rita Herron, I found out that she has penned for some great shows on television. How is this for a resume? The Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, The Ghost Whisperer (one of my favorite shows), and Medium, just to name a few.

This book has the makings of a movie! It would be hot!
