Religious Weekend Of Reading - Amateur Book Reviews and Book Preview Videos

Wind Dancer by Jamie Carie takes you on a great adventure of pre-revolutary America.

Isabelle, the main character is like no one else. She is a free spirit! She dances in the moonlight, loves the woods and running around with her knife and rifle looking for adrenaline rushes. When she bumps into Sam, a handsome, American spy, they are drawn to each other.

After they are captured by Indians and caged an Indian takes a Isabelle for himself. Can Sam save her? Will her fearlessness get her killed? This is a fast past ride! So hang on!

Seeing Things, by Patti Hill is a great read.

I love Birdie Wainwright the main character in this book of family, age, and the pure gifts of God that we don't even know we are being given.

As a true believer that everything happens for a reason I loved this book.

Birdie is a 72 year old women who after taking a tumble down her stairs, goes to live with her son and his family. Her relationship with her dog Bee (Miss Bee Haven), her grandson Fletcher, and a certain fictional character really made this book remarkably enjoyable. What I love about Birdie is that while I know she is 72 years young, I had to remind myself of this. She is a spitfire who has a wonderful imagination and a wry sense of humor.

I would love to see this done as a movie!

I have one more to go! Love's First Light reviewed this week, come back and check it out!

  1. Wind Dancer was great. That's the one I would like to see done into a movie. I liked Love's Frist Light too and have Seeing Things on my desk to read soon. Don't you love the traliers? Jamie Carie is becoming one of my favorite authors.
