Hot Dog Series by Anh Do Is Perfect Book For Self Readers

Meet Hotdog , the sausage dog, and his friends!

There's Kev, the goofy cat, who's always dressed up in some silly costume, and Lizzie, the gutsy lizard, who eats bug burgers for breakfast!

Together they're going on a mad adventure to help a baby bird find its missing mum!

Hotdog and his friends will go to any lengths, and dizzying heights, to find her!

But can they handle dirty nappies and karate-chopping roosters along the way?

The 411:

I LOVED it and I am not the target audience which is 7-10. I love books for reluctant readers because I have two of them. The book is reluctant readers friendly with lots of illustrations, bold letters and speech bubbles. My daughter always hated reading but this is exactly the kind of book she didn't feel forced to read.

HotDog is the name of our main character. He is a Weiner dog who has a cat friend named Kev (my daughter's favorite character) and a lizard named Lizzie. Together these guys are hysterical. I love their friendship and the shenanigans they get into.

The first adventure is when they find a baby bird and help it search for it's mother. Thankfully Hotdog has a can do attitude because they met quite a few possible "moms" along the way but eventually reunite the two.

HotDog Party Time is just as funny but this time they friends are having a surprise party for their friend Kev. But when two thieves try to steal the present HotDog does what he can to make sure it doesn't happen.

Kids will love this book. I cannot wait to read more.
