The Little Snowplow Wishes For Snow by Lara Koehler
The plucky little hero of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Little Snowplow returns in a story about wishing, waiting, and the magic of a first snowfall.
The little snowplow loves his job on the Mighty Mountain Road Crew, but the work he loves best is plowing snow. Throughout the year, he wishes for snow to come, but winter begins without a single flake in sight. As the weeks pass and the little snowplow’s birthday approaches, he starts to wonder whether it will snow at all. Will the little snowplow’s birthday dreams come true?
What an adorable book about a little snow plow who loves what he does.
The little snow plow waits all year to plow snow but while he waits he continues to help by hauling, digging and pulling on his job as part of the road crew.
As winter approaches he waits, and waits, and waits but no snow. He invites friends over for a birthday party but on his birthday his wish comes true and the party must wait as he happily plows till the job is done. After all what is a snowplow to do? His friends find him and together they celebrate as he makes a birthday wish for of course more snow!
I love this book as did my preschool class. We talked how you cannot always get what you want right away but wishing, hoping and waiting for it usually helps and when you do finally get what you want you can really appreciate it.
The illustrations are perfect and really add to the adorable story.
