Coloring books have never gone out of style in my eyes but more people are learning the benefits of coloring.  To sit and color means you can forget all the stress of the day or your life and put aside all the things that are pulling you in a million and one directions and focus on nothing else but gliding your pencil, pen, marker, crayon, colored pencil or whatever over the paper and create a one of a kind work of art. Wonders of Creation is a coloring book for 11 and to 121. The designs are whimsical, fun, and creative. They are intricate this is not for your run of the mill colorer. The detail in these sketches is impressive and takes patience but I loved my Sunday coloring outside on my deck under the screened in gazebo with the birds and the laughter of the kids playing outside. It is definitely how I plan on spending a few of my weekends this Summer.

 

I chose a picture of a turtle to work on. I loved watching it start to come to life off the page. I still have more work to do but can't wait for this Sunday so I can sit down and focus on it without any other responsibilities even if only for an hour. 

 

I still have a lot of work to do on it and can't wait to see the finished result.

For my coloring I use my daughters ink pens from US Art Supply. They don't go through to the next page and they look amazing.
