Uncle John's Fun Book Holiday Giveaway - #giveaway #unclejohn #win

The holidays mean LOTS of great gifts for the kiddos and LOTS of time spent around the table, breaking bread with loved ones.  Uncle John's For Kids Only is here to help you survive the holiday with some keep them busy ideas!

First launched in 2002, the Uncle John's For Kids Only series is designed for young trivia fans, infomaniacs and reluctant readers.  The latest installment in this series is TOTALLY QUACKED (ages 8+) -- 288 pages packed with strange science, weird news, obscure history, odd sports, and the interesting origins of everyday things. Special to this edition:  amazing animal quack-ups, history’s biggest quacks, ducky weather, fine feathered friends, quacky fashion, and things that are “Just Ducky” (which could mean really good or…soaking wet).  It's also perfectly sized to make an excellent stocking stuffer:).

And now, two MUST-HAVES for keeping hungry young diners from gnawing off the table legs at those extra long holiday meals...feed their brains with Uncle John's Riddle Me Timbers! and Magic Cupcake Placemats (ages 6+). Each cleverly themed tear-off sheet in these 36-page placemat pads is filled with brain-building activities: a "Ship Shape" puzzler, a "Fairy Pie" maze, brainteasers, jokes, and weird facts, noodle-while-you-doodle activities and even Polly-Wanna-Doku and Wand-Doku (Sudoku with pictures!).

The 411 by Maria and the Kids:

We love activity books. We do a lot of waiting doctor's, dentist, library, art club, one of us is always doing something which means the others are always waiting. While we love our Kindle and smartphone I am trying to get the kids more and more unplugged and these books are great for that.

The Uncle John's Riddle Me Timbers! and Magic Cupcake Placemate books are great because you can use them anytime including taking them with you wherever, grandma, the dinner, even the doc's office. We can bring the whole book or tear sheets out as you need them.  The kids love that there are so many different activities. Goddess loves mazes and word search puzzles and Handsome loves brain teasers and facts as well as word search puzzels.

We found so many that we are trying not to just run through the book too quickly and save them for what they are intended for.

The TOTALLY QUACKED Bathroom Reader for Kids! is honestly the best. There are so many amazing reads inside. We love the Road Trip game suggestions, Pack My Lunch which includes what kids in other countries eat for lunch, a story called Dumb Selfies where people took selfies implicating themselves in all stupid situations, and, uh there are so many more.

The book is really just filled with interesting stories, articles, quotes, quizzes, jokes and so much more.
