DISH UP THE LOVE TO BENEFIT FEEDING AMERICA WITH TOP CHEF ALL-STAR ANTONIA LOFASO, BAKER’S SECRET®, PYREX® AND CORNINGWARE®
Calling All At-Home Cooks and Bakers to Share Their Time-Honored Holiday Recipes; Grand Prize Winner Receives Valentine’s Day Trip for Two to New York City
ROSEMONT, Ill. – November 7, 2013 – The Baker’s Secret®, CorningWare® and Pyrex® brands are inviting consumers to “Dish Up the Love” this holiday season with Top Chef All-Star Antonia Lofaso, Executive Chef and Partner at Black Market Liquor Bar and Scopa, along with Feeding America®. The heart of the holidays centers around the bonds created during seasonal celebrations and traditions – Thanksgiving dinner, cookie exchanges, Christmas and Hanukkah parties and more.
“Dish Up the Love” celebrates these special holiday moments in and around the kitchen and asks at-home cooks and bakers to share their holiday memories and time-honored recipes at WorldKitchen.com/DishUptheLove. For each recipe entered now through December 25, Baker’s Secret, CorningWare and Pyrex will spread the joy of the season by donating $1* up to $50,000 to Feeding America® – a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger.
“When I think of the holidays, memories of my loved ones gathering and celebrating family and friends come to mind. A huge part of that is cooking up our favorite family recipes and reminiscing around the kitchen table,” says Chef Antonia Lofaso. “I’m excited to work with Bakers Secret, CorningWare and Pyrex to share my family holiday recipes and memories while helping the brands lead the fight against hunger with Feeding America.”
Some of Antonia’s tips for holiday memory-making include:
- What’s Grandma’s signature dish? Continue traditions and show off favorite family dishes like Antonia’s Italian Rice Balls
- Use non-stick, dishwasher-safe bakeware like Baker’s Secret when making holiday cookies to spend more time with the kids and less time on clean-up
- Create a warm atmosphere by serving meals family style
- Showcase favorite dishes in table-worthy bakeware such as CorningWare that complements your holiday tablescape and seamlessly transitions from oven to table to storage
- Make your favorite recipe in advance of the party. With Pyrex, it’s easy to save time and transition from prep to storage to serving
Dedicated to innovation, style and design, the Baker’s Secret, Pyrex and CorningWare brands have continuously provided households with the kitchenware they want and need to make holiday entertaining fun, relaxing and memorable. Baker’s Secret high-quality nonstick surfaces make it easy for busy families to whip up tasty treats and are also simple to clean up. Pyrex’s clever yet easy-to-use and oven-to-table products make prep time efficient and less stressful. CorningWare recently refreshed its iconic French White® product line to deliver contemporary design, improved versatility and ease of use. The new shape with iconic fluting is unexpected, flexible and indispensable, just like family dinners.
