Matchbox Bringing Kids & Dad's Together For Over 60 Years


Matchbox is 60 years old. WHAT? As a little girl I always wanted to collect Matchbox cars. I didn't have a brother so it never happened, eventually I bought myself a Batman looking car that I still have to this day, in one of my boxes in storage (note to self: find that box) When I found out I was having a boy, I started collecting them and saving them in hopes that one day he would love them as much as I do. We now have a nice little collection that keeps on growing.

To celebrate their 60th anniversary Matchbox is having a sweepstakes with a grand prize of a $60,000 college scholarship!

 The Matchbox® Heroes Wanted™ Sweepstakes calls on parents to celebrate the heroic attributes of their children by submitting a picture and caption of their hero-in-training dressed as their favorite real-life icon. Submissions will be showcased on the Matchbox® Heroes Wanted™ Facebook gallery and are automatically entered to win the grand prize — a $60,000 college scholarship. My daughter is as girly as they come, but she has a collection of Matchbox cars, Hotwheels, and Monster Trucks. I can't believe Matchbox is 60!
