Enter before the Deadline of February 5
READING, PA (January 9, 2013) –– Moonlight and meatballs go together like love and marriage – or at least they have since the scene in the animated movie classic “Lady and the Tramp” where the starry-eyed canine couple share a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs while the chef serenades them with “Bella Notte.” So in honor of Valentine’s Day 2013, create your own meatball magic. Enter the Mama Lucia Most Romantic Meatball Recipe Challenge by February 5 – and let the love story begin!
Just put your culinary Cupid capabilities to work to invent your most infatuating Valentine’s Day dish using frozen Mama Lucia Meatballs from contest sponsor Quaker Maid Meats. Any Mama Lucia variety can be used, whether beef, turkey, home-style or Italian style.
Bonus: all varieties come fully cooked, can be used whole or sliced, and can go directly from freezer to stove, so you’ll spend less time in the kitchen and more with your significant other.
Entries will be judged on suitability for a romantic evening for two as well as creativity, taste and eye appeal. Prizes are $100 first-place, $50 second-place and $25 third-place gift cards to 1-800-FLOWERS – the better to buy your main squeeze a bouquet with for the next special occasion (or just because).
The contest runs from January 1 through February 5, 2013. All entries must include the name, address, email address (if available) and telephone of the entrant as well as the recipe, and be time-stamped or postmarked no later than February 5.
