Mobile guide helps parents navigate kids’
academics, chores,
allowance and lunches with new features and
content
Seattle, Wash. — August 3, 2012 – Cozi, the family technology
company, today announced its Back-to-School Survival Guide filled with useful
tools, data, tips and advice from experts and other parents. The guide,
available within the free Cozi
Family Organizer mobile application, gives families
everything they need to transition into the new school year. Cozi also
announced its newest feature, a monthly calendar view for mobile users in its
premium ad-free offering, Cozi Gold.
This new feature, available now for Android and coming soon for iOS, was
created at the request of Cozi users and provides an at-a-glance view of the month
to make planning on the go easier than ever. A unique side-by-side view of the
weekend (patent pending) sets Cozi Family Organizer’s month view apart from
other calendars.
“The back-to-school season can be a challenging,
stressful and emotional time for families, so this year we wanted to make sure
Cozi users have everything they need to make it easier for parents and kids to
get back into the swing of school,” said Cozi CEO Robbie Cape. “Our Survival
Guide explains what concepts we should be preparing our children to learn, how
other parents are handling allowance and chores, and how we can make busy
school days calm and productive for the whole family.”
Cozi’s Back-to-School Survival Guide features:
·
What to Expect at Every Grade – Data from
childhood development experts and educators on age-level emotional development
milestones, what educational topics each grade level typically covers and
standard school supply lists to make back-to-school shopping from kindergarten
to high school a breeze.
·
Chore Guide – Cozi asked hundreds of users how they
handle chores and allowances, and compiled their answers to create a guide that
helps parents with these tough decisions. Cozi found 87 percent of children do
chores, with an average starting age of 4.5 years old. More than one in four
kids (28 percent) receive an allowance for doing their chores. More data,
including a list by age of the most common chores and average allowances is
available in the Back-to-School Survival Guide.
·
Checklists for Kids – Detailed daily checklists help the
whole family establish routines to keep them on track during busy weekday
mornings and evenings.
·
Lunchbox Gallery – Ten eye-poppingly delicious and creative
packed lunch ideas help parents get their school lunch mojo back.
From now until Aug. 31, anyone who signs up for a FREE
