Full Description From Hachette Book Group
With glue guns, glitter, twigs, or yarn, the ordinary can become extraordinary . . . especially at La Pachanga. Owned by Estrella "Star" Esteban's family, the restaurant has a rep for two things: good food and great art. La Pachanga brings people together-even when it looks like they couldn't be further apart. One ill-fated evening, Star jeopardizes her family's business, her relationship with her boyfriend, and her future career. To redeem herself, she agrees to participate in a national craft competition, teaming up with her best friend, Ofelia-a secretly troubled mother whose love for crafting borders on obsession-and local celebrity Chloe Chavez-a determined television personality with more than one skeleton in her professional closet. If these unlikely allies can set aside their differences, they'll find strength they never knew they had, and learn that friendship, like crafting, is truly an art form.
In A Nutshell: I LOVE the book cover. I love Kathy the Crafty Chica and her colorful personality. Of course she's crafty! Check out the photo from her website. So cool right?
As someone who loves all crafts I was excited to jump in to read about Star and Chloe. I am sure this story in not far from truth. There are many celebrities out there that have a team of folks behind them making them look good and Chloe is just that.
Waking in The Land Of Glitter is Kathy's debut novel. A book, website, blog, crafts, craft supplies at Michaels, interviewed by Redbook Magazine and more, where does Kathy find the time?
Meet Star, Chloe and Star's best friend Ofelia in this cute book trailer.
Kathy is so cute and after seeing the video of her I love her even more. Her cherub cheeks and sweet face make you want to know her.
As Kathy says, Peace, Love and Glitter!

ReplyDeleteI WOULD GIVE IT TO MY DAUGHTER
I would use it to decorate the walls of the kids playroom. It would probably make a really big mess, but it would be fun!

I would glitter my 5 pets, and make me glitter wigs in each color, and cover the walls of my home, with each room a different color.
