My Entry For the Kia Sorento Ultimate Road Trip Sweepstakes

As the title states I am trying to win the Ultimate Road Trip Sweepstakes being hosted by Mom Logic

The Question Is? 

If you could take your family on a road trip anywhere, where would you go and why?" 

Well, first of all, we have never gone on a family trip so this is really hard to answer. I want to take them anywhere and everywhere. My husband is self employed and runs his company alone. There is no one to leave the company to so I don't see many family trips in our future but I am hopeful. It is something he wishes he could do, so I know when he can, we will!

When we were dating we took road trips all the time. Sometimes just a ride without a destination  planned would lead us to so many cute towns where we would grab a bite to eat, walk around and head back. That is basically how we found our house.

As for the family road trip, I would love to take my family upstate NY to see childhood home town. A bit odd but I would love to take my kids to the cemetery where my mom is. They say their prayers and bless her every night but it would be wonderful to just walk around my home town. Go to the park, eat at the dinner, visit the library, some of the historic places and then possibly sleep at my Grandparents summer home. They have had a summer home there for the past 65 years. They are in their mid 90's and don't travel much anymore without my Uncle but I would love to take a photo of my kids sitting on the same steps I sat on or peeking out the same windows I did. 

I know they would love it there too, there are so many places to go. One of my favorite parks is right near the cemetery, they would love it. 

Eventually we will get there. It is about 2.5 hours away. Not a life time but not a trip I am willing to make without my husband. 

Hopefully, God willing if my grandparents can meet us there next summer, that would be a dream vacation for me and something I can check off my list of things to do before I die.

BTW..it would be nice to do this trip in a roomier car than my little car. The  Kia 2011 Sorento would make this a luxury trip for us.
