Father's Day Giveaway - Amazing Takes For Making Men Out Of Boys Book

Die A Hero Than Live A Coward's Life
Here is my daughter's hero (my husband/the Teach)

I rushed to read this book because I really wanted to get this review/giveaway up for a Father's Day. It is the perfect gift for a Dad, Granddad, husband, son, or any of the men in your life you take care of during Father's Day.

Amazing Tales for Making Men Out Of Boys is a book about stories. Neil Oliver the author is a fantastic story teller who takes real stories of heroism, exploration and sacrifice that will inspire boys to be courageous, honorable and open to adventure.

Once upon a time, being an old-fashion manly man had a lot to do with
simple, old fashion values. A manly man doesn't expect recognition-he
does what he does because it is the right thing to do.

Amazing Tales for Making Men Out of Boys is packed with classic stories of courage and heroism from around the world, including: D-Day and Omaha Beach; the Charge of the Light Brigade; the Battle of Dien Bien Phu; the Siege of the Alamo; the Moonwalkers and Apollo 13; the Flight of the Nez Perces; Josiah Harlan and the Trouble with Afghanistan; the Demons of Camerone; the Battle of Isandlwana; the Yangtze Incident; the Battle of Trafalgar; Shackleton's Boat Journey; Scott of the Antarctic; Thermopylae; the Revolutionary War Naval Battle of John Paul Jones and the Bonhomme Richard.

In A Nutshell: Amazing Tales for Making Men Out of Boys is a great read, filled with wonderful stories and insight by the author about real men, doing real jobs, in life or death matters.

It makes me wonder if I am doing my son an injustice by only teaching him to have good manners. If someone drops something pick it up, help a lady take off her coat, say excuse me if you bump into someone, and eventually open a girls car door for her.

Besides being a gentlemen who stands when a women leaves the room (which isn't done by any gentleman anymore, this only happened to me once as a teenager and it was a table of older men who worked for my uncle), should we be teaching our boys how to be brave, courageous, honorable and to stand by their friends whatever the circumstances?

The heroes of yesterday are a dying breed.

This book is a great gift for anyone who loves to read.
