Get Fit At Your Desk - Review & Giveway - 3 Winners

Calling all........

Bloggers
Office Workers
Computer Junkies
Gamers.....

I have the perfect product for you....

Break Pal is a program that allows you to workout at your desk with the help of a personal trainer session. Liz and Phil Weaver came up with this awesome idea for anyone who wants to stay healthy but can't fit the time into their already overbooked schedule.

You set the time you want your personal trainer to appear on your desktop. I have mine set for 30 minutes. Each exercise is from about 1.5 - 3 minutes. Who doesn't have that in their?

Every 30 minutes she appears and says, "It's time to work out, are you ready? If I am, I select an exercise and do it. If not, I just hit the X button and she will go away for 30 more minutes.

Here is a sample of one of the exercises available.

Don't have a private cubicle, here is a sample of one of the exercises that you can do without anyone really knowing that you are exercising.

Why this works:
  • You are reminded to take a moment to work out.
  • It's convenient!
  • With each exercise taking less than 3.5 minutes there is no reason not to. It takes more time to get coffee at the coffee bar. You know, get the coffee, bump into a co-worker shoot the breeze or discuss work, sometimes 15 minutes have passed before you realize that you have been away from your desk. Why not do something that helps you in that precious time?
  • Once a person starts doing just a couple of these three minute exercises then they find themselves motivated to more. Over and over again we have people come to us and say how surprised they are that they actually wanted to go to the gym at the end of the day. It's truly amazing.
Desk Exercises range from simple stretches to keep you limber to Chi Kung breathing to oxygenate the bloodstream and boost brain function. Some of them are even cardiovascular in nature. Hard to believe you can get a cardiovascular workout right at your desk but yes you can. Of course more can be done standing up but if you must you can get in a workout even sitting down.

This is a great incentive for employers who want their employees to be happy and establish a fun workplace. Make this part of your orientation program. Can't afford a Corporate Fitness Program? At only $9.95 a month it is an affordable way to give your employees a thoughtful perk that will generate productivity in the long run.

  11. i like the idea of Kaizen- Kaizen is the principle of small continuous improvements over time. Originally popularized by Japanese companies such as Toyota, the principle was used to rebuild Japan after World War II. After realizing the success of Japanese companies, the principle spread to companies around the world.this would really help motivate mr. mverno@roadrunner.com

Due to my job, I sit for hours in front of a computer. This would be great to have so that I'd be doing something more than sitting.
